Soy and Vinegar Dip

Another popular dipping sauce, it is one of the classic dips served with gyoza and other dumplings.

What You Will Need

  • A small bowl
  • teaspoon for stirring

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 chive (optional)

Method

  • Add all ingredients except chives in bowl and stir to mix
  • Finely cut chives, separating white part from green
  • Add chopped white stem of chives to sauce
  • Use green parts to garnish dish, or add to sauce as well

Notes

Rice vinegar is the traditional type used, however, apple cider vinegar works just fine
